Description of Work Experience: Michael has over 8 years of experience in the timber industry. He worked on a private 585,000 acre ranch in Northern New Mexico preparing and administering timber sales, cruising timber and wildland firefighting. He then moved to Northern California to work for a private consulting firm where he managed a satellite office. His main responsibilities included timber cruising, timber marking and timber sale layout. He led crews from Southern Oregon to Central Sierra Nevada. He completed contracts for large industrial clients, small private clients and government agencies. He later moved to Central Arkansas and worked for a timber company as their District Forester overseeing 80,000 acres. His responsibilities included harvest planning, contract administration, road maintenance and silviculture. Professional Associations and Civic Involvement:
