Tyson Merritt Silviculture Forester Key Strengths/Jobs at Barnes & Associates: Tyson assists with all facets of our silviculture program including reforestation, site preparation, brush control, animal damage and fire prevention/suppression for our clients in the Coos Bay area. Tyson has directly supervised the planting of over 30 million seedlings and inspects each project to ensure it meets the highest standard so each landowner will have a healthy and productive forest again. Additionally, due to his years of experience with fire suppression, Tyson has earned the qualifications to serve as an Incident Commander with the local forest protection association. Certifications:

Description of Work Experience: Tyson has over 18 years of experience in the forest industry. He has worked the last 11 years in a consulting role, providing on the ground expertise for silviculture projects across south western Oregon. Tyson drove lowboy and operated equipment for mechanical site preparation projects and wildland fire fighting on a large industrial timberland owner. He also spent 7 years working for the Coos Forest Protective Association. Tyson continually moved into positions of increased responsibility which culminated with his incident commander certification. He is an exceptionally valuable asset for our clients during the dry summer fire seasons. Professional Associations and Civic Involvement:
